Abolish the Income Taxes: Privacy (III)

Our privacy especially our financial records are being breached and given out to Eastern European Mafias at an ever increasing rate.

One of the largest sources of financial data to the Eastern Mafias is our Government. Having been forced to reveal our most intimate financial details to assure our public_servants that we are indeed paying our fair share the data gets copied to laptops and left in cars at the beach and other work centric places.

I have an idea! Let’s abolish the need for giving our most intimate financial details to our public_servants by abolishing the incomes taxes. No need to spend all those hours providing our overlords, excuse me, public_servants what we did the entire past year if we just make the income taxes go away.

No income taxes, no need to know my underwear size, nor my investment accounts, bank accounts, real estate holdings, etc….

Government give aways of financial data are more damaging than business data breaches. TJ Maxx did not have my investment/bank accounts when they gave away my credit card number over their unsecured wi-fi networks. And VISA is taking care of TJ Maxx very nicely, thank you very much!

Having said this. Why is our most intimate financial data being put on laptops and being taken out of the office? Years after this problem has come to light, it still happens.

Hopefully the Rell will set up a study group to study the problem (sarcasm alert!)

Why does the Government need all this data on us? If the founders of the Income Tax back in 1913 knew of the extent of tax both in consumption of the Nation’s wealth and the breach in privacy they never would have done it, it just barely passed as it was back in 1913.
