Little Glee In Dodd’s Defeat

4 January 2008

I take little glee in Dodd’s defeat.
Hopefully he’ll beat feet back to CT and start being our Senator again.

Interestingly Senator Lieberman whom the democrats so revile polled considerably better when he ran.

There is a message there, but I doubt they will get it.

Hopefully the Republicans will field a strong candidate for Dodd’s seat.
The seat could use it.

Well, I’m disappointed myself. That run for president was giving me a lot of material.

I guess he’ll have to start showing up for work now.

“showing up for work”, what ever that means in Washington.

Seriously Dodd’s tenure as Senator is marked by years of silence.

After the Buddhist’s Temple fund raising scandal during which he was DNC Chairman, he was was not heard from for months.

We can do better. That should be the theme on the next election. The seat is up in 2010, the Republicans have 1 year to come up with a candidate.

Dodd has abused his position and our trust. I’d just as soon forget his name.
