Advice For Big Mac
10 March 2008Not that they are asking, but here is the road map to beat the Democrats and it works equally well on both Hillary and Obama.
Obama will most likely be the nominee, he’ll get the delegates. But the 08 election will make the McGovern wipeout look like a closely contested election. Obama is not electable, he has no experience and he is making novice mistakes on the campaign trail leaving a video record a mile long. His Senate campaign in Illinois, oh how long ago was that, 3 years? Was not a tough race, he is learning fast but he still making mistakes and some of his policies are not well thought out.
I suspect most of his voters would be surprised at what he actually saying about removing the troops from Iraq. He didn’t vote for or against the war in Iraq, because he wasn’t in the Senate.
Big Mac has the security thing wrapped up, no one on the Democrat side is going to seriously challenge McCain on security, he has it, they know it and you know it. But he should keep it up for a while longer, until after the Democrat’s convention. Get it good and set in the average American voters mind that McCain can keep America safe, don’t worry about the typical Obama voter, they’ll forget to vote come November when they are back at school.
Then pivot hard and hit them with economic policy, they’ll never see it coming, they know it’s your weak side and guess what? It is their weak side also, all those weeks campaigning in Ohio will give McCain tons of video of Obama and Hillary running hard to the left and to the dead end policy of protectionism.
Protectionism only plays well in Ohio and a few other rust belt states, it does not play well in the states that were the recipients of the lost Ohio jobs, like the rest of the country. And the states that did not pick up some of those Ohio jobs, like Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont? Heck, you’re not taking those states anyway. Although it would be delicious to win Massachusetts, would it not?
While you were a prisoner in Vietnam, Senator Ted Kennedy was bunking War Protester Kerry infamous for the Winter Soldier Investigation in his Washington apartment.
Anyway, hit them on their blind spot, economic theory.
Take the road in Ohio and champion a revival program for the rust belt that stresses open trade and playing to America’s strong points of; great infrastructure, trained and educated work force and people who live in snowy areas who have nothing better to do.
The Democrats are running negative American campaigns, particularly Mrs Obama, who has a $200,000 a year job, a personal trainer and live in nannies, whose fooling who here? Some of us are more equal than others. The Obama’s like to talk about how much debt they were in until Senator Obama wrote two best selling books. I wonder how besting selling they would have been if written by State Senator Obama.
Obama/Hillary are running it is a “Night Time In America” message, you need to run a “Morning In America”, the hope and future message always plays better in the USA than the, “we’ve already failed” message.
Like I’ve said, the Ohio primary revealed a very dark side of the Hillary and Obama message. Show videos of Americans competing and winning, such as the HP company, that sells over 60% of their product overseas. Explain what Obama’s tax loophole speech is all about. (Basically if an American company makes a printer in Ireland and sells it in Spain, Obama believes they should have to pay US business tax on that printer. The fact they don’t, he calls a loophole.) Nobody with a passing grade in Freshman Economics 101 believes it is a loophole.
Bring up the fact that most economics professors believe NAFTA was good for America. Highlight that other countries that would suffer terribly if America threw up protectionist trade barriers walls, such as Columbia and other South American countries. Countries that some of which are fighting terrorist wars on their soil, tie trade and fighting terrorism together and you’ve got a winning one / two punch.
